Brief Answer:
Letrozole usually given when clomiphene fails

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Letrozole works by suppressing estrogen levels so that brain puts out more of FSH that will result in ovulation. Evadiol is estrogen itself.
Letrozole is prescribed when clomiphene shows no effect. Letrozole has shown in research to increase chances of conceiving by producing more ova. Chances of ovulation are around 75% in previous clomiphene-response and around 25% in previous clomiphene non-response.

It can result in multiple ovulation and multiple pregnancy as a result. Also there are less chances of any birth defects because its flushed out of body before conception.

Its side effects are mostly related to suppression of estrogen:
Hot flushes, nausea, diarhea, indigestion, thinning of hair, joint pain are some of the expected side effects.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
If ovulation happened then not much use

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

If ovuulation has already happened, then its not much of use. It is combined with Clomiphene when ovulation is not happening with either medicine alone.

In your case, Evadiol is being given so that there are increased chances of pregnancy. Evadiol helps in thickening of uterine lining (endometrium) so that the fertilized ovum is able to implant.

Brief Answer:
Yes chances of pregnancy are increased with the medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Yes chances of pregnancy are increased with the above mentioned medicines, so hope for the best.

Heavy flow can be expected when taking these medicines. I think you should consult your doctor before starting the letrozole or clomiphene in this cycle.

In fact if you are able relax, then the chances of pregnancy are increased. So do not worry about your stability in your home. Do some breathing (pranayam) and yoga to release the stress.
