According to medscape drug interaction professional checker- benadryl which contains the antihistamine, diphenhydramine, cannot be used because it decreases the level or effect of metoprolol by affecting its metabolism
Allegra D or allegra allergy and congestion or zyrtec d or claritine d (these have the newer antihistamines)- can all be used.
Cannot use advil cold and sinus because of interaction with eliquis
