I’m Wondering If I Need To Follow Up With A

Question: I’m wondering if I need to follow up with a physician after experiencing some symptoms of kidney stones this weekend?
My symptoms were the following: left flank pain & left lower abdominal pain (4 out of 10 on pain scale & managed by Tylenol), tea colored urine, slight nausea. I’m a nurse & I dipped my own urine while at work= large blood, otherwise negative. My urine has since become more yellow & my pain seems to be resolved.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
You should see a urologist when convenient
Detailed Answer:
Hi Tamarasueq,
Your symptoms are definitely suggestive of kidney stones. I suggest you see your doctor or a urologist for a CT urography, and, depending on your age, a cystoscopy.
Hope this helps.
