In August I Had My Period For 2 Weeks. Went

Question: In August I had my period for 2 weeks. Went to doctor and he did a uterine biopsy. He said it was fine and that is was hormones. I am 45. I had it the end of October and bled for 15 days and then I was fine for a few days then started spotting again and then my period started again. And now I have had it for 7 days. Can this just be hormones or do I need to worry about ovarian problems
Brief Answer:
Can be related to hormones.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The iregular and heavy bleeding that you are having can be related to dysfunction uterine bleeding. This usually happens due to a hormonal disturbance but uterine fibroids or ovarian problems need to be ruled out after an ultrasound scan.
The bleeding can be controlled with the help of hormonal tablets. You need to get these prescribed from your gynecologist.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
