In September Of 2005 I Had A Prostatectomy Performed By

Question: In September of 2005 I had a prostatectomy performed by Dr XXXXXXX Samadi, who you most likely have heard of. He performed the surgery robotically. My psa at that time was 7, and although I don't have l the technical medical data, my cancer was an aggressive type, found in three places, two in one side and one in the other of the prostate. The XXXXXXX was 7, and the margins were clear as were all scans prior to the surgery.
For twelve years after the surgery, my psa was less than .001. In January of 2018, my PSA was less than .02. when I had it checked in May of 2018, it was .02. In February of 2019, my PSA was less than 0.1, and in April of this year it was 0.015. Do you think this is indicative of a recurrence of the cancer, or am I worrying for no reason?. My health is good, all my other blood work is fine, I would value your professional opinion, as almost everything I read on the subject of prostate cancer on the internet is confusing, and the information conflicting. thank you very much for your time and advise. Brief Answer:
There is noting to be worried about at all .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have detailed you had undergone Radical Prostatectomy in 2005 for localized cancer of prostate and till today your PSA values are within the range of 0.01 to 0.02 which itself strobly suggests that you do not have any recurrence of cancer of Prostate .

It is the PSA which shoots up very high suddenly that raises a suspicion and demands further tests to confirm recurrence .

So get relaxed ,do not surf of internet as it would confuse you mare than any help or to sort out your doubts .

You are very lucky that you are 100 free from the disease (Cancer of Prostate ) and enjoying very good health for more than fifteen years after surgery.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
