In August Of 2018 I Got An STD Test And
Question: In august of 2018 i got an STD test and my Titer was 1:1. The HCP gave me medication. The HCP called me a few weeks later and stated they made sn error and that i should of had a confirmation test. That test was negative around that time i was having sex with my GF. I stopped having sex after the initial 1:1 results. 7months later i started having unprotected sex again. I get tested routinely and never test positive i range 1:1 and 1:4. Do you think she has it

I read your query and here is my advice.
I think firstly after 1:1 test you should have a confirmation test ( treponemal assay) and if it resulted non reactive it was negative and you didn't had it.
This second test you are having with results of 1:1 and 1:4 you should do confirmation test. If it is positive you have it and your partner has it also. If it is non reactive you don't have it.
Also I can mention that if you are doing STD test your partner should do it too in order that you get tested and treated both. If one has an STD the other is likely to have it.

After The first test the 1:1 they sent me home and gave me medication first and brought me back and said they should have done comfirmation test before giving me medicine. When i came back it was negative thats why i dont know if i ever had it or not. I did some research and it seems like 1:1 is really low and is either a false positive or just means i was exposed not that im actually positive. Whats your thoughts ? Ive been having unprtected sex with my GF for stsrting 8 months after the initial test to now and i havent testet positive at all. I dont if she is the latency stage and thats why did she never have it. When does the latency stage start.?
