Question: In my case: I%E2%80%99ve chronic Bronchiectasis and had lower lobe lobectomy. my mucus always has Pseudomonas aeruginosa with multidrug resistant.

My question: I feel so sick, but I don%E2%80%99t want to go to ER. But I will go to check my blood work in blood center.

What kind of an important blood work that will confirm having an infection flare up?
WBC, platelet,ESR, CRP?

I%E2%80%99m really confused, because sometimes I%E2%80%99m really sick and I don%E2%80%99t know what to do.

To know about flare up of infection you need to get done following tests.
1. CBC (complete blood count). This includes total WBC and platelets.
2. ESR (erythrocyte-sedimentation-rate)
3. CRP
4. PCT (procalcitonin). This is for bacterial infection.
5. Blood culture.
All these tests are needed to identify infection flare up.

one last quesion, what is mean when WBC within range and ESR and CRP are rasing?
