Hello
After reading your medical query I understand your concern for your fathers health. Here I would like to tell you that every body and the disease process going on in it is unique, I mean to say is that the rate of progression of a disease depends upon several factors and it's not the same for every patient.
So it become almost impossible to say that how long a person can live with a particular disease however if patient take proper dietary precautions and take his medicine regularly the disease process will slow down to a certain extent but not stop.
In your fathers case if we don't go for bypass on time the disease will progress slowly and we can't say when the blockage will become 100% causing a heart attack. Once heart attack happens then the prognosis of survival goes low.
So my advice is to think over it once again, take a second opinion and go for surgery on time to avoid complications. Hope you have understood the point.
Hope this information will guide you properly.
Wish your father good health
Kind Regards
