Is Amoxicillin Safe To Take With Zantac?
Question: Can i combine amoxaline with zantec or any other antibiotic for my dudenal ulcer as my stomach pains in the night. Pl suggest medication or which is helpful

First of all you should find out if the ulcer is caused by H.Pylori infection. Only in case of positive H.Pylori test (can be done from stool) antibiotic is necessary.
The best you can do is to have gastroscopy first with sample collection to identify H.Pylori infection.
If infection will be confirmed, Amoxiciline 1000 mg twice a day AND Metronidazole 500 mg twice a day for 7 days should be taken. Amoxiciline is not enough to eradicate H.Pylori infection.
Zantec is not a good medicine for ulcers treatment. This medicine blocks only partially stomach acid secretion and is not very effective. So instead of Zantec, Omeprazole 40 mgs once a day should be taken.

I had done endoscopy and i was told that there is inflamesion on dudenal but no medication was given. My main problem is i get pain on my left side just under the ribs i think have dudenal ulcer i also get lots acidity my stomach makes noise and my pain is mostly in the night after 2 am what is the best medicine i have been talkin periet tablets for some time than i have been given zentec 150mg morning and evening it dors help little i drink about two pints of beer in the eveningdo you think that has got to do something with my pain what is the best medicine for dudenal ulcer pl recomend would be help ful thanking you
