Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Syrup Aptivate is known to have the following contraindications:
* Excessive doses
* Hypersensitivity
* Infants
* Internal bleeding
* Mouth ulcer
* Pregnancy
* Stomach ulcer
* Ulcerative colitis.
As such, she can take it if none of the above features are present.
Having said that, this syrup is usually given to increase the appetite and diet. Since she's a diabetic, sugars may need further monitoring.
I hope that helps. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Brief Answer:
Best to let ongoing bleeding heal first
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am not sure about the mechanism behind the occurrence of the GI bleed. However, I would suggest improvement from the erosions and pseudomembranous colitis. These are temporary stages and after recovery, it may be used.
Hope I have answered your query.
Best wishes. Thank you.
