Preferably avoid Avil

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,
For skin allergy less sedative antihistaminic Like Cetrizine will be better alternative to Avil in view of fact that you are exclusively breast feeding the baby.

It would be helpful if you could provide me details about type of allergy and severity of allergy.

Wishing you great Health

Take Care

Thank you dear Dr. XXXXXXX

I developed this allergy ever since I got pregnant and it has continued even after I delivered my baby and until yesterday.

Typically, at night I suddenly wake up with a bout of heat in my body and suddenly I see a huge itchy lump on my arms or legs and it becomes red and itchy and stays for over 4 days and then subsides. As per XXXXXXX traditions we assumed its heat and since I am not menstruating anymore, the heat is trying to escape through some source.

Please advice,
Thank you, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Likely to be Pregnancy induced

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

The feeling of heat as described by you less likely to be allergy or any heat getting desipated to outside.

It is likely to be due to following factors

1. Decreased intake of water
2. Inappropriate clothing : Wearing woolen or extra clothes
3. Excessive sweating leading to feeling of itching
4. Pregnancy induced itching

I would suggest you the following

1. Whole body bath twice a day
2. Ensure good intake of water
3. Bedtime bath and dusting the arms and affected area with prickly heat powder
4. Omega 3 fatty acid supplements

Antihistamines like Avil or Cetrizine are rarely needed.

Do keep me updated about progress

Regards
Deepak
