Is Avil Tablet Of 25mg Advisable For A Four-month-old Infant Suffering With Scabies Like Disease?
Brief Answer:
Not ok. It is overdose
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
No, it is not ok to give one-fourth 25mg Avil to a 4-month child. You need to get him examined and proper treatment can be administered accordingly. It needs to be ascertained whether it is scabies or not in the first place.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards

But the doctor said that it's scabies. Another doctor had infact suggested Avil for the itching prblm. We showed to a power child specialist and he has given him allegra and eclospan cream and zeroseab lotion. But after applying zeroseab he had more red marks kind of pimples which the doctor said was scabies.
Yesterday night he was not able to sleep but after my wife have gave him avil he could sleep well. Today he is having the same problem. Can we give him Avil??
We are giving him 1 fourth of the tablet. How much do you suggest?? Or what best do you suggest??? Plz it's urgent

Brief Answer:
You may follow the directions of the second doctor
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
I would not suggest giving Avil tablet in any fraction. Rather, I'd suggest following the directions of the second doctor (the child specialist) and that seems to be on the right track.
