Is BCG Treatment Advisable For Bladder Cancer?
Question: My sister has bladder cancer. Several tumors were removed. We are awaiting results on a muscle biopsy. The doctor said there are 3 kinds of cancer and she has the second type. They are going to do BCG treatments. What is her prognosis?
Brief Answer:
Hello. Progmosis depends upon the involvement of muscle
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So the prognosis of bladder cancer depends upon the grade of tumor and whether the bladder musle is involved or not. That will also change the treatment. Bcg is indicated for only early stage non muscle involved tumor. Muscle invasive tumor requires surgery and chemotherapy.
Please share report of ct scan and biopsy. I can give you more information after that.
Thanks and regards.
