Is BP Level Of 160/110 A Cause For Concern?
Question: I have observed my BP at 160/110. need advice
Brief Answer:
Monitor BP for 3 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Your BP is high. I would advice you to get it checked for 3 days and see if it is constantly high or was it a one time peak. Meanwhile you can try and reduce your stress by deep breathing exercises and follow a low salt diet.
In case your BP is constantly on higher side you will have to meet your physician for prescription of antihypertensive drugs.
I hope this answered your query.

I hope there is any immediate reason to worry and I can sfely monitor it for three days?
Brief Answer:
Yes you can.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Yes you can safely monitor it for 3 days. In case you are having symptoms such as giddiness, breathlessness, excessive fatigue or BP reaches to 200/120 mmHg then you will need immediate medical attention.
I would advice you to get complete blood count, lipid profile, Fasting and postprandial blood sugar done to rule out cholesterol and diabetes.
Have a rich fiber diet like apple and oats. Avoid oily foods and red meat. Stop smoking/drinking if you do.

Brief Answer:
Avoid vigorous/exertional exercises.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
I would suggest you do not do any vigorous exercises. Normal walking for half an hour and deep breathing exercises is better.
If tomorrow also your BP remains the same i think you may have to start on medicines.
