Is BP Of 79/57 Too Low?

Question: Is a 79 over 57 bp too low for an 83 year healthy old woman at rest?
Brief Answer:
It's low blood pressure....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The readings qualifies as low blood pressure. However as you are healthy and active with your daily routine it doesn't overly concern me. If you have no previous heart ailment or renal disease, I would only suggest you to drink sufficient fluids. Report symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness and fainting immediately.
If you are healthy and active, I don't think you need to worry. You can talk to your doctor about the low numbers during the next visit. Let them recheck your blood pressure and if it is again low, then they will need to test the hemoglobin, EKG and other metabolities.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
