Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
I have gone through your reports and picture of your X-ray PNS. There is only minimal changes in your X-rays probably be an early stages of disease.
Sinsusitis is nothing but inflammation/infection of your paranasal sinuses(air filled cavities) in your face. In your case both maxillary sinus and right sphenoid sinus involved. It is quite common and can be controlled by proper antibiotic therapy and lifestyle changes. As per your report there is only mild changes are there.
As of now continue the present antibiotic therapy for five to seven days. Hifenac is diclofenac and it can reduce the pain associated with sinusitis.
You can also try the following measures to control the symptoms.
1. Do frequent steam inhalation, which help to open up clogged sinuses provide symptomatic relief.
2. Look for any decayed teeth which act as focus of infection and cause recurrent attacks of sinusitis.
3. Nasal decongestants like xylometazoline in case of blocked nostrils.
4. Antihistamines like levocetrezine for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist or recurrent attacks are there consult an ENT surgeon and get evaluated. If medical therapy fails you might need simple surgical interventions to clear up th infection. Now a days endoscopic approaches like FESS are preferred.
Wishing you good health.
