Brief Answer:
Clarithromycin 500mg is not an effective treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

No, clarithromycin 500mg is not an effective treatment in your condition.

Worrisome symptoms that can warrant immediate antibiotic treatment include
1. Fever over 101.5°F,
2. Tenderness over your sinuses, or
3. Signs of a skin infection, such as a hot, red rash that spreads quickly.

When you do need antibiotics, the best choice is combination of amoxicillin and clavulinic acid.

For your eye condition better to go for topical antibiotic therapy.

Thanks
