Brief Answer:
The dose is appropriate for weight

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The dose is OK according to the weight of the child.
625 mg of Clavam contains 500mg Amoxycillin and 125mg of clavulinic acid.
The dose is calculated from Amoxycillin and it is 20-40 mg/kg/day. So for 35 kgs child 1000 mg of Amoxycillin is appropriate.
Few children may develop diarrhea after having Amoxycillin and in that condition this may need to be changed.
Amoxycillin is one of the most commonly prescribed medicine for upper respiratory tract infection as it has very good action against the bacteria causing the respiratory infection.

I hope this helps.
