Is Colchicine Safe To Take For Gout?

Question: Husband is having a gout attack again and I'm WONDERING IF HE CAN TAKE COLCHINE MEDICATION. HE IS ON A ORAL CHEMO MEDICATION DAILY, HAS PRESSURE MEDICATION. mY HUSBAND IS BEING TREATED AT XXXXXXX FOR LIVER CANCER. From what I can make out reading some info, I believe he cannot take this medication.

Hi,

He should take indomethacin for this acute phase. Colchicine is also goo but I will not want this given that he is on anticancer medications already. While on indomethacin, he should make sure to eat well as this drug can cause problems when taken on an empty stomach.
