I went to test hiv antibody test ECLIA which is non reactive with value 0.2675, Then again i went for ELISA anitbody test which is also non reactive. Now am not getting sleep,i lost about 2 kg weight, I depend on tablet for sleep. Is this tests are accurate? do i need to retest? is there any chance turn positive after 6 months?

Brief Answer:
Test done after 3 months is confirmatory.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the possibility of HIV after the incidence. After analyzing your query with diligence I reassure you fully that there is no chance of HIV in your case.

The reason for the same is that your kind of episode is not a mode if HIV spread. HIV test done any time after 3 months is always confirmatory. Do let me know if you have gone for testing after 3 months or before that.

Do alos let me know what tablet you are taking.

Hope to hear soon from your side.

I am very much scared. i sucked a prostitute breast for 2-3 minutes(didn't felt any fluid). No other contacts. Now some small red spots in my face and body. i had a fever, dry mouth,a armpit. My anxiety raised, am not getting sleep. I tested ELISA and ECLIA (3rd generation) after 6 months of exposure. Both are non reactive. Now am not getting sleep. Doctor prescribed Nexito plus and Zolsomo-5. My doubt is .. is there any chance of false negative in my case? 3rd generation test is effective? I heard that, usually symptoms shows after 2-3 weeks and antibody develops after that. is there any chance of HIV in my case?. Do i need to test again?

Brief Answer:
3rd generation is most accurate after 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome again to the forum and thanks for your further follow up.

I can understand your concern for the interpretation of results of HIV tests.

First of all I reassure you that you are not at all suffering from HIV so just relax first.

Let me simplify the things and give you medical and scientific facts behind my firm declaration-

Basically the act breast sucking never results in HIV. Even if we consider a rarest of rare chance of any portal of entry of virus then if the HIV viruses gets entered into the body and divides in innumerous numbers (millions of viruses per ml).

After a period of 2-6 week there is mounting of antibodies against the viruses. These antibodies can take at the maximum of 8-10 weeks of the period to get expressed. Therefore the infection can be analyzed by two ways -

-A): By HIV virus detection: done by RNA- PCR. It tells us the number of copies of virus present in per ml of blood. By the latest of methods the viruses can be detected within 10 days to 2 weeks of period.

B): By HIV antibody Detection: AS told earlier once the antibodies appear in 8-10 weeks then these antibodies to HIV virus persist throughout life.

Now correlating all the facts and interpreting with your situation:

You can get that your ELISA test was done after 6 months of exposure. Any test done after 3 months is most confirmatory. There is no chance of any false negative by any means. 3rd generation is most accurate after 3 months. There is no chance of HIV in your case. So there is no need to go for any testing now.

I hope this information will help you. If you have any further queries I will be glad to help. "

Brief Answer:
I reassure you fully that your symptoms are not related to HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Dear young fellow,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.

Regarding all the symptoms you enumerated can be present in so many of the other conditions apart from HIV.

If you can notice there is no history of fever in your case. In HIV symptoms fever is one of the most important and common component. TO add more all of these symptoms if related to HIV then would have manifested within 2-6 weeks of exposure.

These symptom if related to HIV remains for maximum of 2 weeks only. Now it is almost 6 months and if you still feeling the symptoms then these are not related to HIV. Most of your symptoms basically related to anxiety state.

So I reassure you fully that your symptoms are not related to HIV.

I hope this information will help you. If you have any further queries I will be glad to help. "

I have analyzed the picture with best diligence and after proper analysis let me reassure you again that the eruptions are not related to any kind of sexually transmitted disease.

1.How accurate those are? Also see the picture of my rashes. now one came on my palm too.
2. why this rashes came if it is not due to STD?
3. Is there any case of late detection of antibody(after 6 months)?
i had a flue, fatigue, dry mouth, armpit, sweating, fever and all. All disappeared except rashes. So am very much scared. I have a girl friend, am planning to get married ..am so much worried about her.
4.Doctor prescribed HIV 1 & 2 RNA Quantification by RT PCR. is this test accurate after 6 months? Will it show any kind of false positive/negative? because i came to read in forums that it is not for diagnosing. There is chance for false positive and false negative. Am waiting for that result. too much scared of the result too.
5. Will Syphilis,Herpes, gonorrhea, Hep B like(i dont know all STD) shows these kind of symptoms? Doctor , am repeatedly asking these because am living with fear, am feared whether my lover got these from me, i want to live with her.. don't want to put her in risk. please answer ...Can i believe these test and start normal life. Brief Answer:
STDs are not the only cause of the rash. You are totally alright.

Detailed Answer:
Dear young fellow,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.

Let me guide you for your further queries:

The reports are totally fine and accurate. This shows that you don't posses either HIV or hepatitis B & C.

Let you come out of the aura of HIV. HIV 1 & 2 RNA Quantification by RT PCR is totally confirmatory after 6 months and there is no need of any further tests for HIV.

The rash can have multiple possibility and STDs are not the only cause of the rash.

Gonorrhea, herpes and Hepatitis B never manifest in this manner. Even if you are worried then can go for simple VDRL for syphilis as most of other tests are been done.

I reassure you fully that you are totally alright and there is nothing to be worried about. I hope this information will help you. If you have any further queries I will be glad to help. "

Hi Doctor,
What is seroconversion? Is there any relation between seroconversion and symptoms? How accurate elisa 3rd gen antobody test during symptoms occur? How accurate "quantitative hiv Rna by RTPCR" test during seroconversion ? Please answer
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (12 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Seroconversion is the phase when the antibodies to HIV are detectable.

Detailed Answer:
Dear youg felllow,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.

Regarding your further queries:

Seroconversion is the phase when the antibodies to HIV are detectable. In simple clinical terms : as soon as the antibodies are detectable in blood there appears a series of clinical signs and symptoms which ranges from fever, acute seer flu like symptoms, joint pain, rash and so many other symptoms.

In HIV it is considered to be the worst flu of life along with high grade fever. This kind of illness occurs mainly between 2-6 weeks of exposure.

A 3rd generation antibody test is totally accurate after 3 months of period. It has no relationship with symptoms. The seroconversive illness has nothing to do with the testing. It is because of the fact that not all persons show this kind of illness.

Quantitative HIV RNA by RT-PCR is best if done after 2 weeks of exposure. It detects the direct presence of viruses and can pick as less as 50 viruses in 1 ml of blood. So this is one of the best tests after any time of 2 weeks.
