Is Epipen Effective For Allergy While On Atenolo?

Question: Hello although I am allergic to red XXXXXXX and bees my doctor has decided after all keeping me on 12.5mg of atenolol is best to control my fast pulse until I lose weight. If I were to use an epipen would it be effective ?
