Question: I have contacted Viva Labs regarding the extraction of Krill oil and they mentioned that they use Ethanol, is Ethanol good for the body or it harms it.
I believe that fish oil is more pure than krill oil judging them from the extracting method...
Brief Answer:
Ethanol in medicine is negligible
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Alcohol in medicines for adults has less quantity of alcohol to cause any harm. Alcohol containing medicines are better avoided in children. I could not find the alcohol content for Viva lab's krill oil. But some other company's Krill oil's alcohol content is <3% and is less than 5% as recommended by FDA. The alcohol in medicine may have interactions with other medicines. Consult a doctor before taking any other medicine with it.
Whether it is fish oil or krill oil, both have considerable side effects. I would personally advise that if you have not yet started taking them, please do not take them. Body's immunity and function mostly work at their best and do not need omega 3, 6, 9.
Hope it helps.

If it's possible could you tell me if OLIMP nutrition are using CO2 extraction method or Molecular Distillation?
I apologies if it's not relevant question...
Brief Answer:
Not sure
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
I am not so sure what process this company uses to manufacture their fish/krill oils. It is not my specialty too. Though most companies use molecular distillation. You have to call them to know.
I personally like the cold pressed oils more.
