Question: Hi Sir,
on 11th sept I tested blood sugar in empty stomach and reports came as 130.but after meal the sugar level is fallng in normal range. The problem I am facing now is I am feeling weakness.get tired after some exercise.i am feeling as if I am loosing stamina from my both legs.
I take rice in weekend twice.mostly I take roti.I am also not having anything which have sugar contents.

sugar found in my blood since last 3-4 years. before the last test it was in the range of 110-120.
I believe that because of my new born baby I had some 3-4 months sleepless nights(no exercise as well) due to which my latest report sugar level came as 130.

Sir please suggest the way forward and suggest if I should take any medicines for now to control the sugar level.
also let me know why I am feeling weakness and feeling that I am loosing stamina from both the legs.
I am doing regular walks now and will test again after 1 month that falls on oct 11 and will share the reports.
Also let me know how much distance I should walk to be on the safe side.some day I walk for 5km and some day 2km.
Sir shall I take some supplement for the weakness I am getting especially on leg.
please provide me a diet plan for the day
let me know if I have to exclude some of the raw fruits in my diet.

Brief Answer:
You need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.

As age and duration of diabetes advances there may be need to increase medicines.

In such case I may suggest-
- Detailed physical examination.
- Investigations
Complete blood count.
Fasting and post-prandial blood sugar level by lab.
HbA1c
Lipid Profile
Renal function test (Urea, creatinine, electrolytes)
Liver Function test (SGOT, SGPT, ALP, GGT, Bilirubin.)
Urine examination.
Vitamin D3 & B12 level.
Ultra TSH.

Depending upon this appropriate management can be suggested.

Any type of moderate physical exercise 150 min per week is usually recommended for diabetic patients.

Simple brisk walking for 30 to 45 min per day may be suggested.
Along with it mediation, yoga of any type may be suggested.

For male diabetic patients 1800kcal diabetic diet is usually recommended.
I may suggest you to consult near by dietitian who can plan diet for you considering your Body Mass Index and food habits.

In case of fruits - fruits like XXXXXXX custard apple, banana, chiku should be avoided.

Hope this helps you.

Dr. Abhay Mali.
