Is Folsafe L Safe During Pregnancy?
Question: My Period is Two days late and as per my Doctor I started taking Folsafe-L from yesterday, Can i continue to take that medicine or any other folic acid medicine please suggest and also i want to know is there any side-effect of this medicine o my Pregnancy.
Also I have not taken any test,Please let me know when i should visit doctor ,I am having my body temperature 99.5 and headache cramp in leg and lower back,Please suggest any good medicine for folic acid

If you have been planning a pregnancy, then considering that you are 2 days late for your menses, it would be better to confirm pregnancy first with a urine pregnancy test with early morning urine sample with a home urine pregnancy kit. Ideally, a home pregnancy test is sensitive but gives conclusive results after 7 days post missed periods.
Anyhow, folsafe-l can be continued. It is the medication during pregnancy. Folsafe L Tablet contains the following active ingredients: L-Methylfolate, Methylcobalamin, and Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate. If the result is positive then this tablet has to be continued daily till at least 14 weeks of gestation.
Please get the urine pregnancy test done tomorrow and then follow up with the result.
