Is HIV 3rd Generation Test Done 5 Years Post Exposure Conclusive?

I got tested 5 years after this incident I believe it was a 3rd generation test for hiv 1 and 2. It's been two years since then and a week or so ago I began experiencing constant headaches, persistent rapid weight loss, weakness, etc. Some of those have gone away but I'm still losing weight even though I've been eating well.
If I have aids where do you think my cd4 count would be? If I don't what could be causing this? Thank you.
You are free from HIV infection. Symptoms not related to HIV.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
You had mentioned that you had a HIV test, but not disclosed the result of the test whether it is reactive or nonreactive.
You had a stuck with sharp object, but not mentioned where exactly on your body and whether it led to bleed or not?
All the test available for HIV are highly reliable whether 3rd or 4th generation to the extent of more than 97%.
The risk of HIV transmission through casual stuck with sharp object is negligible and unusual (if not purposeful).
Fever, head ache, feeling of weakness can occur to anybody without a HIV infection and they are so common symptoms for anybody at any point of time and due to many number of causes. Similarly loss of weight also can be due to various reasons including your stress and anxiety.
I don't think there is any possibility of HIV/AIDS for you, so your CD4 count will be within normal limits for you.
Exact cause of your problems have to be diagnosed by your physician after a thorough examination and if necessary with investigations.
So consult your physician and get well soon.
