Is HIV 4th Generation Test Done 18 Weeks Post Exposure Conclusive?
If she tested negative then she does not harbor any infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. Continuing with our earlier discussion on your test result, it is confirmed that your 8 test panel, HIV 4th generation, HSV 1/ 2 IgG and HTLV 1/ 2 antibody test results are negative when done after 18 weeks.
2. It is highly unlikely that you are infected with any of the tested conditions. Probably you are having a high level of anxiety and I reassure you that your tests are conclusive.
3. Rarely some of the STDs are not always transmitted. If she has been tested for infection and result is normal then it is unlikely that she harbors infection. The test on the lady shows that she does not have any infection therefore no infection has been transmitted to you by the unprotected sexual intercourse and you have been lucky. Please use condoms and do not take risk next time.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
Hemoglobin is to be increased and vitamin D supplements required
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. The lymphocytes and neutrophils might be considered at borderline levels. It is not a serious concern.
2. Your haemoglobin requires attention and please eat a healthy daily 2200kcal diet containing vitamins and minerals. It is possible that you are not having a balanced meal and this can be from the anxiety you are having.
3. You have vitamin D deficiency and there is a requirement for vitamin D supplements.
4. The shoulder pain for 2 months duration also needs clinical assessment. I hope you have consulted your doctor about it and a probable diagnosis has been made and treatment provided.
5. Please avoid alcohol, smoking and taking off prescription medicines. These might increase your anxiety.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
