Is HIV Infection Possible Through Oral Sex?

Posted on Fri, 18 Aug 2017
Question: I am a male 30 yrs old. I recently went to a massage parlor and had a naked body to body massage for the first time in my life (7 days ago) . She first asked me to lie on my stomach and then gave me a body to body massage on my back, hips with her naked body. She rubbed her vagina with my hips. Then she asked me to turn around, on my back that is. She then rubbed her vagina on my penis and on my whole body. During this time she went to and fro on my penis many a times. I also caressed her body and moved my fingers on the outer of her anus and vagina. Then sucked her breasts for some time, i don't think she was lactating. We also kissed but for 2 - 3 seconds, during which her tongue got in touch with my tongue. I can confidently say it was not a passionate or deep kiss, it was like sucking the heads of our tounges. Then she took my penis in her hand and started jerking it, meanwhile i started fingering her. The finger that i inserted was a bit chipped off around nails, actually i had peeled it with my teeth in the morning and i had seen a small needle head sized blood on that area in the morning due to this peeling. After few hours that area became red as if its a mixture of scab and some blood still there. I will say it was not fully healed, though i did not see running blood coming out but it was red with small drop of blood still visible. I am really terrified now about contracting HIV. I am not able to sleep after this incident.

1. Is there a possibility that i can get hiv due to this cut on my skin? I have heard that the cut needs to be deep, will my cut be counted as a deep one?
2. Can smooching for 2 - 3 seconds make me catch HIV? When it was not deep at all.
3. Can sucking boobs be a concern? They were not lactating as far as i remember.
4.I have got hiv1 rna test and hiv1/2 p24 test done on the 8th day post exposure. Attached are the reports Are these conclusive ?
5. How eaely can inget tested for a conclusive reault?

Brief Answer:
Please don't worry. There is no risk to get HIV infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing in healthcaremagic.

I have read carefully your history and I think you shouldn't worry because that there is a negligible risk to get HIV from little cut on your finger after fingering even in 2-3 seconds.
Furthermore, you should know that just rubbing vagina in your penis, and sucking her breasts there is not any risk to get HIV infection.
As well, not deep kissing has low-risk for transmitting HIV, especially if both partners are without sores or cuts on the mouth or lip.
HIV RNA test can detect HIV as early as 9-11 days post-infection . This test is very accurate but not conclusive.
Usually XXXXXXX test looks for HIV after 7 to 28 day of risky exposure. Most, but not all people, will have enough HIV in their blood for a nucleic acid test to detect infection.
In my experience I suggest the patients with high risk to do 4 th generation test after 3 months of exposure as conclusive test.
Based on your history I think that it is not necessary to do further HIV test.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards..

Thanks doctor. I have attached results of the hiv1 rna quantitative test and hiv1/2 p24 test done at 8th day. They have come negative, are they conclusive on 8th day? I have heard that qualitative rna test shoupd be done this early and not quantitative. Please advise how soon can inget another test and what should that test be? I can wait fir 3 months

Brief Answer:
PCR RNA tests are not recommended from FDA for routine HIV screening .

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing back in healthcaremagic.
I am sorry for my late response.

Your undetectable quantitative RNA plasma viral load test and hiv 1/2 p24 after 8 day are very encouraging but are not conclusive.
However, PCR RNA tests are not recommended from FDA for routine HIV screening
Furthermore you should know that qualitative PCR tests is used to see if any viral genetic material is present, whereas quantitative PCR tests for the amount of viral RNA present.HIV PCR RNA quantitative tests are used to monitor how much HIV is growing and to monitor the treatment.

The 4th generation test as I mentioned above, it is likely your best option for fast results after 4 weeks , though we still recommend a 12 week follow-up test.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
HIV-1 RNA,Qualitative, PCR.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing back.

The name of this test is HIV-1 RNA,Qualitative, PCR.
As I said above, PCR RNA tests are not recommended from FDA for routine HIV screening .
So, based on this and your history (negligible risk to get HIV from little cut) I think it is not necessary to do HIV test even after 12 th day of exposure.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.
