Is Hyaluronic Acid Effective In Faster Healing After Penile Ingrown Hair Removal?
Question: I had two ingrown hairs removed from my penis 5 days ago. Will a hylauronic acid cream help the wound heal faster?

It has not been proved beyond doubt that Hyaluronic acid cream scores over other antibiotic cream in making the healing fast. Of course if there is edema,Hyaluronic acid will reduce the swelling fast when compared to an antibiotic creams. Otherwise a good antibiotic cream with systemic antibiotics will do better for your wound on penis following the removal of in-growing hair.

It is better to check the sensitivity of hyaluronic acid by applying over normal skin elsewhere underneath the clothes (especially over inner aspect of thigh) and wait for 24 hours. If there is no reaction you can apply the same over the penile skin which is a tender one. Any medicine or its vehicle can produce sensitization.
