Is Hydroxyzine Better Than Xanax?

Question: How does hydroxine compare to xanax? My doctor said to take 1 to 3 tablets a day but i only got 30 tablets. This could be only 10 days worth. Do i kind of take like xanax when i feel panic attacks coming or just take it everyday no matter what?

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to inform you that you can not compare apple with orange. The only similarity between them is that both are useful in certain conditions such as panic attacks, sleep, anxiety.

Regarding the dosage as I said you can not compare so the doctor suggested you wide dose range (one to there tablets).

He mean to say that you titarate your dose as per requirement and than he will know what dose you need and the next prescription will be refilled considering the use over the one month.

Now regarding the Xanax in my opinion you should keep the single medicine. If you are finished with medicine much earlier (say 10 days) you can contact him earlier.
