Is It Normal To Have Acid Reflux And Feel No Pain Swallowing Or No Heart Burn?
Question: Hi Doctors, Its normal to have Acid reflux and feel no pain swallowing or no heart burn? All I feel is as if a lump is in my throat all the time. Its painless but so uncomfortable. Has been like this for a month and two weeks.
It does not affect my smell.
Does not affect my eating and drinking( In fact, I feel relief when eating.)

You can have acid reflux without heart burn pain during swallowing.
As you are feeling a lump in the throat,you should get an Upper GI endoscopy.It will give a clue.
If it is normal,then you should get an MRI of the Neck.There is a condition called Dysphagia lusoria,where there will be compression of Esophagus (food pipe) by a blood vessel.This condition will be confirmed by MRI.MRI will also give report of surrounding structures of Esophagus.
Till investigations, please take Capsule containing Rabeprazole and Domperidone once daily before breakfast.
