Brief Answer:
Is the area numb?

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for writing to us .

Well, initially some heaviness and discomfort can be experienced which will get better soon
Can you please tell me that is it just heaviness and discomfort or do you feel the area is numb?
Pinch the cheek and notice the two halves of tongue, and let me know is the sensation normal?
Please write back.

Thanks

Normal sensation in both cheek and tongue so no numbness. Just a feeling of heaviness in area where implant was placed one week ago.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for writing back.

If feeling is normal then the heaviness is only due to inflammation caused due to surgery.
Wait and watch for another one week.
Then you can let me know if it improves or not.

Please write back for more queries.
