Question: Thanks I want to use lactitol monohydrate BP for stomach problem please guide XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Lactitol can be used for chronic constipation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Lactitol is used for chronic constipation and well tolerated. Usually 2 teaspoons at bed time is a good for relief from constipation.
But try other measures like taking plenty of lain water , fiber rich food like adding lentils , pulses , vegetable salads and whole grain foods. Taking dried prunes and prune juice at bed time is also good. If you have gastritis that should be managed also as gastritis can give rebound constipation. In such case managing gastritis with diet and proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole helps.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
