Brief Answer:
Not advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Taking a double dose of any of the two medication might not reduce the blood pressure similar to both being taken. Both the medication actions are different and they complement each other.
2. I always advise my patients to avoid changing medications, when it's working perfectly. Unless you have side effects, not advisable. At this age, high blood pressure could be dangerous.
3. However, if you really want to stop one and double dose of another, you can give a trial after discussion with your doctor along with close followup of blood pressure.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
