Brief Answer:
Mebendazole can be taken instead of albendazole

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Despite the possible adverse effects, hetrazan is a widely used medicine and you can take it without worries. Mebendazole can be better than albendazole and can be taken as its alternative (not an alternative of hetrazan). If so, it has to be taken twice daily for the same duration.

I do not think that you need to see another doctor for this particular issue. Nevertheless, if you are still apprehensive, you may feel free to go ahead and get a second opinion.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
