Is Mederma Cream The Right Treatment For Acne Scars On The Face?
After that i usedKojic acid for sometime and then demelan cream for some time but it didn't work much. Later I used Apple cider vinegar with XXXXXXX water.which actually helped for a while to keep the skin a little brighter. Due to my work schedule i couldn't continue using that too for long. So my skin again became dark, dull and full of scars
Later my brother recommended Hyalugel Hyaluronic Acid Gel that i started using from Jan-2016 I saw little improvement but not much.
Right now my skin looks dark, dull and have so many scars. :(
Now I am getting married in Jan-17 and my Engagement is in coming October. and i want to look a little better (want to get rid of dullness and acne). I heard of Mederma Cream and would like to use it. I am scared of chemical peel as I heard a few reviews from my friends and I am sceptical about its use.
I know I have done so much of self medication and it could be my foolishness to do so. But Can you please suggest and help me ? just to let you know For sun protection I always cover my face and use Sunscreen. Currently using Lotus Herbals Safe sun - SPF 50. and just a month back i stopped using Melawash Face wash (Currently Using Nivea face wash )
Skin whitening is a myth.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your queries and understand your concerns. As you have already mentioned, using Lomela cream + Melawash Face wash has given you satisfactory results. I do not understand why you are bothering to try something else. If your assumption is correct, you should benefit from the use of those. However, my understanding states otherwise. Skin whitening is actually a myth that people like to fall for. There is no appreciable change in long term (other than increase in the revenues of the companies marketing such products).
Since you had noticed a difference with Lomela and Melawash, I would insist you to try them for temporary resolution. However, do not expect any long term improvement. Other solutions are unlikely to work as well.

Yes Lomela and Melawash had given me unbelievable skin brighting experience in past. I used it for almost 6-8 months then
My only concern is if reusing it after such a long break will have any adverse effect? I read in a few blogs that when a few people reused it they suffered from patchy skin, skin became darker, acne and pigmentation.
Considering this I have a few queries -
- If it doesnt have any adverse effect if I reuse it after this long break, will it have same effect as it had earlier or if not same still better effect on my skin. If yes, then what medication/treatment should I take after 2-3 months (when i have to stop using Lomela) to maintain and keep skin glowing and scars free
- If it can have adverse affect on skin if i reuse then could you please suggest any cream that can help me to get scar free and bright (not white but glowing) skin.
- Is Mederma a good cream to use (Not that I will use it but just curious to know)
- In February I had been to USA for a week when I came back I realised that my skin became quite clean and glowing although i did not use any thing there. But with in a month its again became dull and dark. Is there a possiblity that climate and pollution can be the reason ?
I am very sorry for too many question. By marriage coming near I became quite concerned about my face, Hope you can understand :)
A dermatologist will be able to evaluate your skin

Thanks for writing back.
Every medicine has side effects but they affect only a handful of people. You have already used it. I would therefore insist y you do not to depend on blog post and the memo on your own experience ideally you need to be examined by a Dermatologist and he would advise you what is right for you. There is no discrete formula about how to get a scar free bright skin. The answer may vary from person to person and situation to situation. Mederma will be effective in certain conditions but not others it is hard to comment whether it is the right medicine for you but you can depend upon your previous experience. Climate in Sun exposure it plays a role. And relative free cold countries like USA skin complexion is whiter and that is the reason you have had relatively better skin there.
