Methotrexate is an immunosuppressant while Symponi XXXXXXX (golimumab) is a monoclonal antibody. The combination is used to suppressed the autoimmune reaction that underlies rheumatoid arthritis. If you do not take it, this action will not be obtained. However, in such a case there are other disease modifying agents that can be tried. Whether that is a good idea needs to be evaluated by your treating physician.
