Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome on HCM!
I can understand your concern but before giving you some further suggestions i would like to know some more information;
- How is your menstrual cycle, is it regular, once in 28 days ?
- Have you had irregular cycle during puberty ?
- Are you overweight ? What is your BMI ? If unsure, please let me know your present weight and height so that i can calculate it for you.
-Do you have hirsutism ( excessive amounts of dark, course hair on body areas where men typically grow hair — face, chest and back.) ?
-The result of ovarian ultrasound and a testosterone level would be helpful.
Looking forward to help you further.
Kind Regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

thankyou for the reply,
my menstral cycle is 28days and very regular since puberty
my height is 1.6meters and I weigh 50kgs.
I have some hair on my chin that has been there since around 20 years but has increased a bit.
I am in a resource constrained assignment is XXXXXXX leone and I cannot access pelvic ultrasound or even testosterone test. I had however checked my testosterone 2years ago during a routein check-up and the doctor noted it was considerably high but not warranting treatment as I was also not ready to take any hormonal preparations then.
hope that information is more leading.

Brief Answer:
I wouldn't recommend to start Microgynon.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
I can understand your situation.
If the testosterone level has resulted high, I would strictly recommend to make a diagnosis before starting contraceptive pills.
Late onset adrenal hyperplasia should be excluded.
Do check; Total testosterone, SHBG, DHEAS.
Microgynon would help if PCOS was clear but in your case, is not. If late onset adrenal hyperplasia is confirmed, the treatment is different.
Best Wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
