Is Mifegest Safe To Take To Abort Early Pregnancy?
Question: Hi,
i had my last period on 16jan nd i m pregnant.today i will tak mefigest 1st tablet.so pls guide me how safe it is to use.and whether it will terminate my pregnancy.i have been told to take mifepriston empty stomach nd after 36hrs of taking it i have been told to take 2tablets misoprostrol nd again after 24hrs of taking misoprosol i have to take another 2misoprostol tablets.is d said procedure is right.following all above mentioned steps will help me to terminate pregnancy.i dnt have any complications.pls guide me as i dnt want to be pregnant.im 30yrs old.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Firstly I would like to suggest you that it is not safe to take the MTP pill yourself without consulting a gynecologist.
At most places it is not an over the counter drug and is available only on prescription but if you already have prescription and procured the kit then it has a specific pattern of intake
Kit consists of one large tablet mifepristone to be taken at once and then after 48 hours of that take the rest of the tablets In kit which are four in number or as told to you take 2 tablets after 24 hours and other two after 24 hours again.
After taking full kit, abortion occurs anytime between 6 hours to 5 days.
But in few patients there can be an incomplete abortion or excessive bleeding per vaginum and in that case you have to visit a gynecologist.

I had taken 2misoprostols after 36 hrs of taking mifepristone.cramps and pain occured in lower abdomen.bleeding occurred when i went for toilte.4times it occurred.after 12hrs i took another 2misoprostol tablets but dis time no pain occurred.bleeding is also not der.so i m confused whether my pregnancy has been aborted or not.i have completed dose in 48hrs.pls guide me
