burning in throat with cough, likely course of management
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Welcome to health care magic!
I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.
Based on the history, which you shared, it appears as if you are having sore throat but involvement of chest and pains with coughing can also rise possibility of a lower respiratory tract infection, and you need to undergo thorough chest auscultation and throat examination by your GP.
It is also advisable to get chest Xray done, so that lungs involvement can be ruled out.
Panadol may help with fever and pains but is not going to stop your cough, and for that purpose you may need to have antibiotics course as per advice of your doctor. I would have suggested azithronycin for 5 days atleast, along with some anti histamine for cough, like citrizine.
Try avoiding greasy or sour foods. Gargles with XXXXXXX warm saltus water may help.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
