Brief Answer:
eye drops containing the prednisone are safe

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Your blood pressure recording of 136/ 103 mm Hg might be due to anxiety and nothing to do with high blood pressure, if it was a single occasional high reading taken under conditions of anxiety and stress probably due to your eye condition.

A high blood pressure is defined as a persistently high recording over 140/ 90 mm Hg taken on three consecutive days at the same time of the day and the recording being taken after the patient observes 30 minutes of physical and mental relaxation. The single recording of 136/ 103 mm Hg cannot confirm your persistent high blood pressure status.

Medical literature says that eye drops containing the prednisone have no measurable impact on blood pressure.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
