Question: What is better medicine - Prolomet R-50 or Starpress xl 25 mg and similarly what is better between Cardorone 100 or Cardace 5 mg
I am cardiac patient and two stents inserted one in year 2004 and second in year 2010. Presently my Total Cholesterol is 214 mg/dl, Triglycerides 180 mg/dl, HDL- 49mg/dl, LDL 129mg/dl, VLDL 36 mg/dl, CHOL/HDL Ratio 4.34, TSH >100

Answer to your first question is difference between Starpress xl 25 and Prolomet 50.Well both of these have the same medications namely Meteprolol and Ramipril but in different doses. Starpress xl contains 25mg and 2.5mg of the above mentioned medication. And Prolomet 50 contains 50 and 5 mg of the same.medication.
Cordarone is a drug used to curtail palpitations .And Cardace is nothing but Ramipril used to treat hypertension.

Should me stop Cardorone 100. As I am feeling some side effects of this like constipation, snoozing, tiredness like. Please suggest. Any problem to stop taking this medicine ??
