Brief Answer:
Therapy for H.pylori should be taken.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting on this forum.
H. pylori infection occurs when a type of bacteria called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infects your stomach.Gastritis can be caused by H.pylori. However if you are H.pylori positive then just taking Ranitidine will not help.
There is a seperate regimen for treating H.pylori-
Triple therapies with one of the below mentioned combination is given for 10-14 days. The treatment regimens are omeprazole, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin (OAC) for 10 days; bismuth subsalicylate, metronidazole, and tetracycline (BMT) for 14 days; and lansoprazole, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin (LAC), which has been approved for either 10 days or 14 days of treatment.
Discuss the above mentioned protocol with your gastroenterologist.

As per your quey regarding Rantidine and H.pylori no there is no connection betwwen them.Rantidine will just provide you with symptomatic relief.

Regards.
