Question: my wife was due for menses on 6th sep but has missed her period. we had sex last month and she took ipill on the same day. on 16th sep she took a preg test and came out negative. but when there is still no sign of her period, today again she took the preg test and it came out positive. will regestrone help her menses back on. PS we dont want the pregnancy
Brief Answer:
No, registerone will not helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Registerone is not helpful and it will not cause withdrawal bleeding in her case because her pregnancy test is positive.
Registerone is used for withdrawal bleeding when pregnancy is not the cause of delayed menses.
You should consult a gynecologist and take abortion pills for your problem.
Abortion pills should always be taken under supervision of a doctor because sometimes it may cause severe bleeding, infection and retained product of conception.
Please do safe sex in future.
Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to help you.
Good luck.

but I have a few questions then
1. she took ipill just for precaution, though im sure i did not ejaculate within her.
2. she took ipill within 24 hours, how can she still be pregnant
3. could there be a chance that the preg kit is faulty and we need to test again
Hope you can help!

Brief Answer:
I- pill is taken within 24 hrs. It is 95% effective
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
Answers of your questions as follows-
1) If you did not ejaculate inside, then the chances of pregnancy are very less.
2) If I- pill is taken within 24 hrs. It is 95% effective not 100% means there is still a chance of pregnancy.
3) Yes! It can be false positive.
If you read the test result after 5 min. Then evaporation line can give false positive results.
So in my opinion you can repeat your test or you can go for blood test for beta HCG to rule out pregnancy.
Feel free to discuss more.
Good luck.
