Detailed Answer:
Hello, I can totally understand your problem.
according to the regimen, r cin ie. rifampicin 600mg is only once a month tablet. Its not to be taken everyday.
Even so there should be confirmatory test that you are again suffering from leprosy.
I would suggest you to find the leprosy center in your city or nearby place and give skin sample to get it confirmed whether you are again suffering from leprosy. Because once treatment completed its unlikely that it will recur.
Before starting the medicines I would like you to get it tested with skin biopsy for confirmation of leprosy.
And if positive, rifampicin is only once a month dose and not everyday.
But first get it investigated properly.
I hope I have answered your question well.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back.
Thank you
is there is some treatment to removal the patches
Leprosy patches do not normalise.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
I am very sorry to say but leprosy patches do not recover and they usually will stay paler than the surrounding skin.
But again as I said before these new patches are not leprosy unless confirmed with lab test.
Hence I suggest you again to get it investigated and confirm the diagnosis.
There are other recoverable skin conditions which also look like leprosy but aren't.
If its not leprosy then surely it can be cured and the patches can be removed.
Go to your nearest leprosy centre or government hospital and get it investigated.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
Thank you
There is no restrictions
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
There is no food restrictions in leprosy. You can continue having normal usual diet.
For soap, glycerine contaning soaps like pears will be fine.
But as I mentioned before do not take rifampicin daily. Its once a month medication and not daily one.
Get it investigated and confirmed before starting treatment.
Hope it helps.
Thank you
