I was told about something called seratoin syndrome does that not apply? Also the internet say to avoid
Brief Answer:
The interaction doesnt lead to serotonin syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Respected madam sertraline is an SSRI ( selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor ). Serotonin syndrome is a drug interaction of SSRIs with drugs like MAO inhibitors, Tricyclic anti depressants, meperidine , dextromethorphan.
There is a minor interaction of sertraline with stematil and based on a number of clinical interactions, concomitant use of both does not lead to serotonin syndrome. You can use both safely.
Hope this makes it more clear.
Please consult your doctor before taking any medication.
Thanks.
