Is TSH Level Of 5.32 A Cause For Concern?
As mentioned below
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM,
Understand your concern.
Your wife has slight increase TSH level.
But for pregnancy you need more tight control.
TSH is kept < 2.5 mIU/L before pregnancy and < 2.0 mIU/L during the pregnancy.
You need to increased the dose of Thyronorm form 50 mcg to 75 mcg.
I would suggest to consult the endocrinologist for drug dosage and control of TSH level (monthly check your TSH till it come to target level then test every 6-8 weeks).
Do not change the dose by yourself without consulting the endocrinologist.
I would suggest to undergo thyroid function test regularly to check the status.
Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if you have further question

Welcome back,
I can understand your concern,
Delayed period could be a thyroid dysfunction.
Stress (hormonal imbalance) and overweight are associated factors.
In absence of an endocrinologist, you could consult the MD physician(Internal medicine specialist) for thyroid problem.
Your wife can use Obimet SR.
