Question: My daughter is 26 years old, hypothyroid patient ,previously her TSH level was 45 ,6months back and she was advised Thyronorm 125 .Recently her TSH legal has come down to 7 .Can I reduce Thronorm to 100 and also start with Thyrowell after breakfast.I am also concerned with prolong usage of such a high dose of Thyroborm 125.Please advise
Brief Answer:
I suggest further increase in the dose.
Detailed Answer:
dear sir, hi! welcome to HCM. as per the reports, the dose of thyroxine 125 is also less. it needs to be increased to 137.5 Mcg. I understand your concern about side effects of the molecule but then u have to normalize the thyroid specially at her age. so please make it 137.5 Mcg. you may add thyrowell if u wish so , it will help in normalising thyroid profile. in order to save the side effects of thyroxine, u can add calcium and vitamin D.
I suggest further increase in the dose.
