Is TSH Value Of 3.2 A Cause For Concern?

Question: I am 14days post 2 frozen embryo transfer (day 5 ) had positive test beta 137. My tsh is 3.2 (high)but t3 &t4 in normal limits. I'm on 100mcg eltroxin ( since starting infertility treatment 2 yrs ago)going to see an endo specialist tomorrow. I started to bleed/ spot not heavy but it's red. I'm on progesterone suppositories three daily.
Brief Answer:
TSH goal is 2.5 or below
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern. The TSH of 3.2 is high during your current clinical condition. It is best to keep TSH < 2.5 now and during fisrt three months of pregnancy. You may need modification of dose to keep TSH less than 2.5. The bleed/spotting is likely to be an implantation bleeding which happens when the embyo implants itself to the uterus cavity.

After a scan at 7wks and if heart beat is heard or seen dies the risk of a miscarriage decrease or is the time between 7-12wks as high a risk?
Brief Answer:
Recheck TSH and Free T4
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Miscarriage can happen due to s many reasons and thyroid is just one among them.
Having a hgher TSH during first trimester ( until 12 weeks) increases the chances of miscarriage. However, the risk is very very low i your case as the TSH elevation is only marginal. May i suggest you to recheck Free T4 and TSH once again?
