Detailed Answer:
Hello,
She has a highly resistant strain of e.coli infection which is again intermediate sensitive to nitrofurantoin which the only safe drug for UTI in pregnancy.
So rather than harboring a resistant strain for long, it should be treated. Trinorm is cranberry extract which is not going to eliminate the infection and evidently, the organism has been cultured.

it is not to be used. its pregnancy category C drug
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Ciprofloxacin is a category C drug for pregnancy and not to be used during any trimester if not indicated at all and if other better options are available.
Category C drugs mean that Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
So, in my opinion, it is not to be used at all for a safer profile in pregnancy.
