Is Vit A Supplement Safe To Take Along With Cereals During Pregnancy?

Question: Hi,
I am 5 weeks pregnant, and my gynae has given me a supplement to take daily. It contains 4000 I.U. of Vitamin A (retinyl acetate). I just realized that the fortified cereal I take for breakfast also contains Vitamn A (15%). Is this a safe amount of Vitamin A to be taking?
Thank you.
